King Beverage Inc. is Spokane Washington’s Premier Anheuser-Busch Distributor and they have been looking for ways to gain space and efficiencies within their operations. This signing marks Cirrus’ 18th automation project in the beer wholesaler industry. Peter Rusnak, President of King Beverage states; “We planned to have automation in our new build construction warehouse in Spokane, WA. The Cirrus Tech Crane System will be the perfect solution for our project as it allows us to maximize our future storage space while providing us with the ability to automatically receive, store, replenish and pick in the most optimal manner while saving us hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual efficiencies.” King and Cirrus are planning to start the implementation process in the spring of 2024. The President of Cirrus Tech, Darrell Dunham, is excited about the project as he states “The partnership that we’ve established with the King Beverage team is outstanding. They can trust that we will provide them with a high quality implementation and world class support for to many years to come. We appreciate the opportunity to work with King Beverage and look forward to partnering with them on this transformational project.” A collective “Cheers” to King Beverage!
On August 18th, Cirrus Tech signed contracts with Eagle Rock of Colorado to its first Higher Levels of Automation Project. The system will grow with them from 10 million cases a year to over 17 million cases a year all while providing them with a 3 – 5 year ROI. With the construction of the expansion to house the system and the integration of the Cirrus system, it will be a while before you can see this system up and running. But it is coming! As an aside, to put that system in and to run 17M cases a year out of it, it took just shy of 200,000 SQ feet.

The Economos family is putting a lot of faith in Cirrus Tech by entrusting us with a system of this magnitude. CEO Steve Economos says, “Eagle Rock spent over a year interviewing and vetting automation providers, going on site visits and speaking with other industry experts and distributors. Once we all agreed on the best design for our automation, we spent the time gathering data and doing an independent and full simulation of our data with all of the speeds and feeds of each component in the system. Once we were comfortable with that, it really came down to, who do we trust? We’ve been working with Cirrus in our Atlanta location for over 8 years and they have exceeded expectations at every turn. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this game changing technology that will serve us well in Colorado for decades to come.”
So, what is this system? There is some layer picking, delayering, conveyance, etc. But because this will be so transformative in the beverage warehouses of the future, we hope you will understand that we can’t share all of the details here. But if you reach out to us, we will gladly share the full concept with you and show you the simulation that will explain it all!

We are pleased to announce that Adams Beverages, Inc. in Charlotte, NC has just signed with Cirrus Tech to implement the Cirrus Semi-Automated Case Picking System. This newest signing marks Cirrus’ 12th beverage distributor automation system. The semi-automated case picking system will be a combination of load builders in a two-high pick module picking medium to slower moving cases and load builders picking the highest volume cases conventionally in a shortened pick path. The conventional pickers will finish their high volume picks and then go to the downlines to top off their pallet of orders that were picked in the system. The product will be waiting for them as it has already been picked by the load builders in the pick module. Cirrus Tech was first to market in 2019 in the beverage industry with this semi-automated case picking system. We are excited to have Adams Beverages, Inc. as our newest partner in warehouse automation.
